Avery's gift is not just a coincidence.  He is blessed to be born into a musical family. His Great-grandfather was the extraordinary Maxwell Davis who worked for many years in Los Angeles, California as a tenor saxophone player, producer, arranger composer, songwriter, and band leader. He was known as the Father of the West Coast R&B during the ‘50s and ‘60s. Some of the artists he worked with were Etta James, B.B. King, Richard Berry, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Jesse Belvin, Z.Z. Hill, and Percy Mayfield.  He arranged an album featuring Louis Armstrong in 1968 entitled Disney Songs the Satchmo Way. His memory still lives on and Avery is carrying on his legacy by becoming an astounding musician like his Great-grandfather, Maxwell Davis.
